Coproduction Week, taking place from 30 June to 4 July, is an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the fundamental role lived and living experience plays.

In 2025, the theme of Coproduction Week is innovation, highlighting how coproduction fuels innovation and sharing ideas and learning across the coproduction community.

Working with the University of Chester, CWVA has developed the Local Voices Framework, guiding people and organisations across Cheshire West so there is a consistent approach to coproduction.

CWVA has also been working with a wide range of community sector organisations to develop their lived experience communities and embed the principles of the Local Voices Framework.

In recent months, CWVA, the Council and University have launched a Local Voices Network, bringing people and organisations together to share best practice when it comes to coproduction.

There are plans to develop a Leadership programme for people with lived and living experience too, providing a wide range of training and develop opportunities to support people in their lived experience roles and possible routes to future employment.

Tyra Goodwin, Lived Experience Consultant at CWVA, said: “It’s important we all make sure people with lived and living experience shape the services available in the community.

“We shouldn’t make decisions about services or support without listening and working in partnership with the people who need to access them.

“People with lived and living experience bring valuable insights, knowledge and wisdom and we’ve seen how, when communities are involved in decisions being made, it can lead to more inclusive, effective and lasting change.”

“At CWVA, lived and living experience is something we’re very passionate about, and supporting community sector organisations to develop their lived experience communities is a key part of our offer.

“We’re looking forward to developing our offer further and making sure lived and living experience is a fundamental part of everything we do in Cheshire West.”
