Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) has launched a new impact dashboard on Plinth, highlighting the wide range of support and engagement carried out by the CWVA team.

Plinth is CWVA’s community impact system, which is used to capture data on CWVA’s activity, manage training and events, track outcomes and much more.

The impact dashboard features high-level data about CWVA’s work since the start of 2025, including the number of people supported, partner organisations supported and events organised.

Data is also broken down by themed areas, showing the number of hours CWVA has supported or engaged with people and organisations.

By the end of July 2025, CWVA had already supported or engaged with more than 1,500 people and 300 organisations, organising almost 130 events.

CWVA has been working with community sector organisations to pilot Plinth as a community impact system, with plans to offer the system out to all organisations supported by CWVA.

This will provide CWVA with the opportunity to aggregate the data for the community sector as a collective, or by different themes, to demonstrate the impact made in local communities.

CWVA has also invested in the Social Value Engine as a system to help demonstrate the social return on investment (SROI) of projects, showing the monetary value provided for every £1 given.

Gary Cliffe, Chief Executive of CWVA, said: “We’re really pleased to launch our impact dashboard on Plinth, highlighting the amazing work being delivered by our team.

“We’re still a relatively small team at CWVA, but our reach is far and wide.

“Our development work is crucial to support community sector organisations on their journeys, while our alliances and partnerships have grown from strength to strength in recent years, positioning the community sector strongly to influence important agendas.

“We appreciate that demonstrating impact can be a challenge for some community sector organisations that might not have the skills or resources so this is an important area of focus for us at CWVA.

“We’re all aware of the real difference our sector makes each and every day and we’re hoping to provide useful tools and support that will help organisations demonstrate this.”
