Entep, a successful partnership between Essar and Cheshire West and Chester Council, promotes and encourages industrial and commercial activity in the borough, with a particular focus on helping form and develop new small businesses.
Entep offers industrial units and office spaces at two prime locations in the Ellesmere Port area: Canal Bridge Enterprise Centre and Rother Drive Business Centre.
After developing a successful partnership in recent years, CWVA has worked with Entep to fund another 14 different community sector organisations that promote positive mental health, support low-income families, enhance volunteering through outdoor activities and more.
Joanne Stanton, Senior Development Officer at CWVA, said: “It’s been fantastic working with Entep Properties again and helping our member organisations access another pot of funding.
“We all know the real difference community sector organisations make and we’ve had some fantastic outcomes from the projects funded by Entep, so much so that it is happy to increase the amount of funding available in the coming year.”
The funding pot of £20,000 provided by Entep has delivered a collective social return on investment (SROI) of £3.30 per £1 invested. This is based on the outcomes of funded projects and value of:
As a champion for the community sector, levering in funding to support organisations is a key priority for CWVA, with a total of £332,442 distributed to charities, community groups and other charitable organisations during 2024.
