Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) will once again be running a volunteering campaign in 2024, aiming to encourage more people to take up volunteering and more organisations to advertise their opportunities.
As part of the campaign, CWVA will be focusing on a different theme each quarter around some of its priority work areas.
• January to March – mental health
• April to June – food support
• July to September – children and young people
• October to December – ageing well
The campaign will be using volunteering stories to showcase the range of opportunities locally and highlight how flexible volunteering can be.
A wide range of volunteering opportunities are advertised by different organisations on CWVA’s volunteering platform.

Linked to this, a Vision for Volunteering was recently launched as a ten-year collaborative project designed to create a better future for volunteering.
Michael Mitchell, Volunteering Development Officer at CWVA, will be holding a number of workshops around the Vision for Volunteering as part of the process to look at how we can use it locally.
• 29 February 2024 – St Mary’s Handbridge
• 14 March 2024 – Ellesmere Port Civic Hall
• 16 April 2024 – The Barbour Institute
• 23 May 2023 – Christ Church
