Salary: £30000 PT (50,000 FTE)

Families United [FUN] – Chief Executive Officer

Families United (FUN) are a small but dynamic and passionate charity based in Warrington. We are dedicated to supporting families who care for children with disabilities. Through a variety of tailored events, resources, and community-driven initiatives, we empower families to connect, thrive, and overcome the challenges of caregiving. We are now looking to employ a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to help lead and develop our growing charity.

As CEO you will take the helm of the charity, driving forward its strategic vision and ensuring its future sustainability. You will work closely with the Board of Trustees and a small, dedicated team to develop a business and marketing plan alongside a fundraising strategy with a focus on growth and long-term success. Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week with flexibility (occasional evening and weekend work required)

Location: Hybrid (ideally the candidate will reside in or near Warrington).

Contract: 5-year fixed-term

Salary: £30000 PT (50,000 FTE)

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will lead the creation and execution of a business and fundraising strategy to ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Work with the Board of Trustees to establish effective legal structures for the future of the organisation.

  • You will work closely with the Board to maintain strong governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

  • You will develop systems to assess and report on the charity’s impact and ensure that we are continuously improving our services.

  • You will oversee the charity’s fundraising efforts, working with the team to identify opportunities for growth and secure financial resources.

  • In addition, you will build and lead a committed team of volunteers, creating a positive, inclusive environment.

  • You will represent the charity as its ambassador, developing key relationships with external partners and advocating for the needs of families caring for children with disabilities.
