Are you looking for a career where you can make a difference to people’s lives?

The Neuro Therapy Centre is a growing charity which supports people with neurological conditions and their Carers. Its life-changing services are only made possible through attracting donations and funding. The Centre is expanding its fundraising team, and has an exciting opportunity available for someone wanting to take their first steps into a fundraising career. The new Fundraising Associate role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to learn about a wide range of fundraising activities supported by the existing team to guide their development.

The role will work as part of the team to:

  • Create, plan and organise events
  • Research and support drafting applications for small bids
  • Assist and help with the implementation of new fundraising initiatives – face-to-face and online
  • Design volunteer recruitment and retention programmes

The role is part of a Time to Shine national scheme which will provide opportunities to come together with a broad range of Time to Shine participants from across the UK for training and development days. The Centre is looking for someone keen to enter a new career, who has skills and talents from either their education or work experiences that would be useful to the role such as creativity, organisation, and communication, along with a passion for making a difference. No previous charity or fundraising experience is required, but an enthusiasm to learn is a must.

As part of the requirements of the Time to Shine scheme candidates should be either unemployed currently or be seeking a role which fully utilises their skills and qualifications. They must also be available to start the job from 6th January 2025.The successful candidate would be expected to travel to the Time to Shine development days (may also require overnight stays), as well as within the Centre’s region to attend events and meetings. Some working at the Centre’s site in Saltney will be required with some potential for home working if this is of interest.
