Head of Fund Development - Cheshire Community Foundation

The Head of Fund Development will be responsible for driving income generation and building long-term relationships to secure new donations to Cheshire Community Foundation’s Funds. This role is crucial in helping us achieve our 2030 vision by growing our funding and increasing grant distributions.

As part of the Senior Management Team, you will lead the fund development team, contributing to strategy development, and preparing for changes and opportunities in philanthropic giving. You will work collaboratively to provide outstanding customer service to donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Income Growth: Identify and implement plans for new income streams and develop relationships with donors, businesses, trusts, and advisors.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the CEO in developing and delivering income strategies, including unlocking dormant trusts and engaging high-net-worth individuals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the fund development team, managing and supporting them to achieve objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and manage relationships with potential donors to inspire philanthropic giving, including legacy pledges.
  • Event Representation: Represent and support CCF at events to enhance the organisation’s profile and reputation.
  • Referral Network Development: Build and develop our referral network by engaging key local influencers and professional advisors.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records and optimize the use of our CRM database in line with Data Protection Regulations.
