Location: Chester with some travel across Cheshire

Salary: £24,089.10 FTE (£12.52 per hour)

Hours: 21 hours

Vision Support is dedicated to supporting people with vision impairments and their loved ones. We are looking for a Sight Loss Information Officer to join our team and provide vital information and support to individuals navigating the challenges and barriers of living with vision impairment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sight Loss Information Officer, you will be a crucial front-line point of contact for people seeking guidance, support, and information in Cheshire. You will:

· Answer calls and referrals, actively listening to the issues faced to ensure appropriate signposting.
· Research, maintain and update a comprehensive database of local organisations.
· Arrange and attend events, talks and meetings to promote the Sight Loss Information Line.
· Build relationships with external organisations and partners to promote the Sight Loss Information Line.
· Produce, monitor and send information packs to service users following calls, including relevant information and a summary of the outcomes of the call.
· Update the Vision Support database for monitoring and to improve service delivery.
· Collect feedback at regular intervals regarding the service received.
· Contribute positively to the success of Vision Support’s strategic aims, recognising the importance of integrated working.
