Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) is holding a day of conversations with members across the community sector on Tuesday 27 April to look at a training offer around equality, diversity and inclusion.

Three different one-hour sessions are being held on Zoom, providing an opportunity for staff and trustees to attend whenever suits them best.

The sessions will be run by Andrew Rainsford from Voluntary Sector North West (VSNW) and are open to all organisations across the community sector.

Andrew brings experience working with charities and community enterprises in deprived areas, areas with a high Asian ethnicity and those in the faith sector. He has also worked with funding bodies and, outside his VSNW work, supports a couple of refugee charities and an older people charity. Other recent assignments have included mental health charities, an overseas development agency in Kenya and a couple of children’s charities.

The events won’t be recorded, but some brief notes may be taken to inform CWVA’s future training offer in this area. It’ll be a safe and open environment where everyone can express what they feel.
