Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) has received funding from the Marjory Boddy Trust to continue expanding its training offer for the community sector.
All CWVA members can access free or subsidised training as part of their annual membership fee.
The training offer is expanding all the time in line with what members want and need, including a recent series funded by The Bluecoat Charity.
This latest funding from the Marjory Boddy Trust means CWVA members will be able to access many more sessions, covering a wide range of topics to support staff, trustees and volunteers in their roles.
A CWVA member who recently took part in a training session about bid writing said: “I can honestly say that was the best training session I’ve ever attended as the pace and content were balanced and the information was really useful.”
Another attendee added: “CWVA is a brilliant help to local charities – a great source of knowledge and support, as well as running superb training sessions.”
Alongside sessions delivered by CWVA staff, external companies with specific skillsets are brought in to share their knowledge and expertise with members, making training that might have previously been unaffordable far more accessible.
The following sessions are funded by the Marjory Boddy Trust.
Strategic and business planning – Tuesday 4 April, 9.30pm to 4pm
Designing and planning a project – Tuesday 18 April, 9.30am to 4pm
Planning your funding strategy – Thursday 27 April, 9.30am to 4pm
Make sure you sign up to a membership so you can access a wide range of benefits, including this training, for just £50.
For any organisations with an annual turnover of less than £10,000, the membership fee is completely free.
For any existing members, we ask that you complete a member renewal form so we can make sure we have all the correct details for your organisation on file.
