Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) is holding a networking event so public sector organisations and their staff can find out more about the new Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Alliance.
The event will take place at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Wednesday 12 June from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
The CYPF Alliance was launched earlier in 2024 and will follow a similar model to CWVA’s successful Mental Health Alliance.
Not only will it create a network of community sector organisations working with children, young people and families, but it will also be an important point of contact for the public sector to have collective discussions with the community sector and look at possible future partnerships.
This networking event is an ideal opportunity for public sector staff to find out more about the CYPF Alliance, the different community organisations involved and the wide range of services that are being delivered locally.
Nearly 40 organisations have already signed up to the CYPF Alliance, offering different types of services for children, young people and families and covering different parts of the borough.
We all make judgments, and learn how this can impact how successful we are in carrying out our voluntary roles. Remember - your brain processes about 11 million pieces of information per second… yet you’re only consciously aware of about 40!

The first line of engagement is visual; it happens within the first few seconds. This training is designed to show how a volunteer can make an immediate positive impact. People typically remember only about 10% of what they hear… but up to 65% of what they see.
