About this event

The DWF Foundation was founded by DWF LLP to provide funds, resources and support to help communities achieve their full potential. Focusing on 5 key areas of

1. Homelessness

2. Health & Wellbeing

3. Employability

4. Education

5. Environment and sustainability

In our changing world, sustainability in charities and community is more important than ever and involves both individual and organisational responsibility. It is important to build sustainability into the vision at the very start of a project and is relevant across all areas of delivery for example, seeking opportunities to buy from sustainable sources.

Sustainability is a challenging concept for many charities, as we know sustainability involves taking individual as well as organisational responsibility so it’s something we all need to understand.

Change initiatives must proactively alter behaviours and involves balancing different concerns: environment, such as climate change; society, such as community; economy, such as affordability; and administration, such as health and safety. When these four elements are considered, we can build sustainability into projects.

Please join us for this online workshop to discuss the four elements and how you can build this into your project delivery to ensure that your work minimises, or ideally positively affects, ongoing sustainability.

If you are considering applying to DWF Foundation for support then this session would be of benefit to you. We want the sessions to be as interactive as possible so places will be limited. Please do register early.
