Recognising Compassion Fatigue – Tuesday 27th February 2024 10am – 1pm
‘Compassion fatigue’ is a term used to describe the emotional impact of engaging with people in distress. It explains the way that we can be changed and affected by empathising with others who have experienced stressful life events.
This workshop is designed to create a space for workers to reflect on themselves and develop strategies to be able to continue their work as effectively as possible in the future.
This will focus on celebrating those seeking sanctuary and will include a presentation to the Council from the Founder and President of the City of Sanctuary Networks, Dr Inderjit Bhogal, for its recently awarded ‘Council of Sanctuary’ status.
