Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) is pleased to share the results of its survey for 2025, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both community sector organisations and public sector partners.

82 staff and volunteers completed the survey – 66 from the community sector and 16 from the public sector.

CWVA offers a wide range of support for community sector organisations in areas like governance, group development, lived experience, training, volunteer management and much more, while alliances and partnerships help create a stronger, collective voice for the sector on key themes, as well as offer a strategic link for public sector partners.

A public sector staff member added: “I personally think CWVA does a tremendous job and has really helped us to work in partnership with the community sector, seeing fabulous results. It would be great to see more services from the Council working in partnership with CWVA to achieve the Compact principles.”

Gary Cliffe, Chief Executive of CWVA, said: “The survey is a good opportunity to look at where we’re making the biggest impact as an organisation, as well as where we can make improvements.

“Our work is diverse and how we support different staff and volunteers can vary significantly, even within one organisation depending on their roles.

“We’re pleased with the survey results as they show community sector organisations and public partners are broadly very happy with the support we’re offering.”
