Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) and Cheshire Community Action (CCA) are once again using funding from Cheshire Community Foundation (CCF) to focus on the importance of wellbeing between now and May 2022.
Following the success of Wellbeing March as sessions were run throughout the month for both CWVA and CCA members, the two organisations have received further funding from CCF to hold training around this subject over a longer period of time.
More than 150 staff and volunteers from across the community sector attended online sessions organised by CWVA as part of Wellbeing March, helping them look after their own wellbeing during challenging times.
The need for wellbeing support has increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of enquiries CCA receives per week going from three to 20. Volunteer managers have also told CWVA that volunteering is unlikely to return to pre pandemic levels and the wellbeing of existing volunteers is crucial so that number doesn’t reduce further.
With this latest funding, CWVA will run Wellbeing Matters until May 2022 and support staff and volunteers across the sector through wellbeing sessions, while CCA will lead Building Back Better and focus on buildings and organisations based in them.
A full schedule of events is currently being put together by CWVA and CCA and these will all be listed on CWVA’s Eventbrite page so you can book your place on them.
