Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) has helped the Anne Duchess of Westminster Fund (ADWF) distribute another £9,000 to organisations in the community sector.

The Anne Duchess of Westminster Fund (ADWF) is a charitable fund administered and distributed by the Westminster Foundation, supporting projects in areas that the Duchess of Westminster lived or had an interest.

One of these areas is Cheshire so ADWF has been working closely with CWVA over several years to find projects that would benefit from funding.

CWVA now manages a pot of money for ADWF each year and advertised the opportunities available for members earlier in 2023.

The following organisations have been supported in this latest funding round.

  • Men in Sheds CIC
  • Critical Care Support Network (formerly ICU Steps)
  • Association Frodsham Townfield Allotments
  • FHE Community Network
  • Inspiring Futures CIC
  • Stanney Grange Community Centre
  • Whitegate Station Community Group
  • Bouncing Back
  • Vintage Blacon Hope Garden
  • Friends of the Countess of Chester Country Park
  • The Plum
  • Friends of Lache Community
  • Chester Adult Phab

CWVA, with plenty of expertise available in the team, manages pots of money on behalf of many funders, amounting to more than £300,000 in 2022.
