Make sure you’re a Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) member in 2023 and access a wide range of benefits for just £50.

Whether you’re an existing member renewing or a brand-new member looking for our support, we’d love you to join our family.

We introduced this small membership fee for the first time in 2022 to continue developing our offer for local charitable organisations.

85 per cent of previous members opted to pay the membership fee, highlighting the high-quality support offered by our team at CWVA.

The membership offer will include:

  • free or subsidised training
  • networking opportunities
  • specialist funding support
  • specific point of contacts around food and mental health
  • advice around governance and managing your organisation
  • access to CWVA’s volunteer platform and support with volunteer management
  • ways for you to have your say locally, regionally and nationally
  • regular communications so you can keep up-to-date with the latest information and advice
  • support with promoting your organisation across CWVA’s platforms
  • community sector representation at key meetings
  • much more.

The below infographic gives an overview of the vast amount of support the team at CWVA has provided so far in 2022 up until 31 October. Please note that this doesn’t include general, day-to-day tasks like responding to enquiries, preparing communications and much more.

Spotlight on Dial West Cheshire

One of more than 200 organisations to take advantage of a CWVA membership is Dial West Cheshire, which is a charity providing services for disabled people, such as:

  • advice and information
  • community café
  • shopmobility
  • volunteering
  • access group.

While the membership fee was only £50 for the entire organisation, the support Dial has received directly from CWVA staff equates to £1,221.14 and this doesn’t factor in things like the cost of training courses, time spent to prepare membership communications and much more.

How to become a member

For any organisations with an annual turnover of less than £10,000, the membership fee is completely free.

For any existing members, we ask that you complete a member renewal form so we can make sure we have all the correct details for your organisation on file.

New members are also welcome to sign up and join the CWVA family so you can access such a wide range of support.
