Challenge Poverty Week, taking place from 14 to 20 October, provides an opportunity for everyone to say what needs to change to enable communities to thrive.

The theme for 2024 is let’s end poverty.

The awareness week aims for voices that are too often ignored to be heard loud and clear, showing that it’s possible to build a better, more compassionate society where everyone can live life to the full.

Challenge Poverty Week is also the ideal time to highlight some of the services available locally to support people in need.

CWVA has a live interactive map that showcases some of the food support available across west Cheshire.

The West Cheshire Food Partnership, hosted by CWVA, brings together food groups in the area so we can all work together to tackle food poverty and insecurity.

The Council has a section on its website dedicated to the cost of living, signposting to a wide range of different services, including Council Tax reduction, money and debt advice, keeping warm and well during winter, and more.

As part of Challenge Poverty Week, there are numerous activities taking place and resources available.
