Bob Barton has been given the first-ever Life Achievement as part of Cheshire West Voluntary Action’s (CWVA) Volunteer Awards.

This is a way of celebrating all the fantastic work volunteers do in their communities and the Life Achievement is a brand-new category for 2021. It’s chosen by the team at CWVA to recognise someone who has made a significant difference in the community sector over a number of years.

Bob is a devoted Trustee and has been at Winsford Youth and Community Forum (WYCF) for more than 40 years, initially as a Youth Worker and a volunteer since 2012.

He has been instrumental in securing substantial funding for WYCF during some challenging times and there’s no doubt the centre wouldn’t be what it is now without Bob’s support.

Many of the team at CWVA have worked closely with Bob over the years and couldn’t think of anyone better to be given the first-ever Life Achievement.
