Radiate Arts has achieved Investing in Volunteers accreditation, recognising its good practice in volunteer management and involvement.

Based in Chester, Radiate Arts is an inclusive, not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to fostering creativity, community wellbeing and social inclusion.

The wide scope of engagement reflects Radiate Arts’ mission to use creativity as a tool for healing, connection and self-expression.

Since it was established in 2017, Radiate Arts has grown from strength to strength, offering a wide range of workshops and projects for communities to engage with.

The Investing in Volunteers accreditation, supported by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), has a six-step process and is ideal for any community organisations wanting to assess the quality of your volunteer management and involvement.

Alex, Project Assistant at Radiate Arts, said: “The accreditation has really helped us develop what we offer, improving the volunteers’ experience with us and building on what we’ve already been doing.

“Volunteers are so important to everything we do and a key part of our team.”

Stan, one of the volunteer team at Radiate Arts, added: “I’m retired so I could’ve been left sitting in the house watching TV, but I hardly have a minute to spare.

“I love getting out and about, dashing here and there, and Radiate Arts has proven to be a real lifeline.

“Before I found it, there’d been nothing here in Chester like this so it’s opened up a whole new avenue of things to do and people to meet.

“It’s very important for the social aspect.”

Any organisations wanting to engage with the Investing in Volunteers accreditation process can get a no-obligation quote.
